Harrison Allen Bowl Round 2: Narberth (67-0) beat Pembroke (63 all out) by 10 wickets
Davy Johns took three wickets without conceding a run as his Narberth side cruised into Round 3 of the Harrison Allen Bowl.
The home side shot fellow Division 2 team Pembroke out for just 63 in 16.2 overs, and Kyle Quartermaine wasted little time in knocking off the runs with a rapid half century.
Batting first, Pembroke openers Jack Harries and Phil Hay put on 24 for the first wicket, with the latter hitting three quick fours before being bowled by Loui Davies for 17 (three fours).
No 3 Jonathan Rogers (1) was then skittled by Ben Quartermaine and when at 54-2 the same bowler then removed Hay for 24 (two fours), it prompted a big collapse.
In fact just nine more runs were added for seven wickets as Johns took 3-0 in 2.2 overs, with Hughes finishing 3-1 in two overs, Quartermaine 3-22 and Davies 1-33.
And the home side only took 4.2 overs to knock off the runs as Kyle Quartermaine dished out some brutal punishment to Sam Davies (0-17 in one over), Charlie Perkins (0-35 in two overs), and Jack Harries (0-17) in 1.2 overs.
Quartermaine made 55 not out - 50 of which came in boundaries as he thrashed 11 fours and a six, with brother Ben unbeaten on 11 at the other end.
It meant a very quick win for Narberth, and a place in the Bowl quarter finals.
