Harrison Allen Bowl Round 2:

Llangwm (141-8) lost to Carew (144-3) by 7 wickets

A five wicket haul from Ceri Brace ensured Carew only had to chase 142 to beat Llangwm at Pill Parks - and the Rooks duly knocked off the runs in 17.3 overs.

Spinner Brace took 5-20 as the home side were unable to build on knocks by opener Will Beresford (34) and Joseph Kiff (22), with Gary James (17 not out) the next top scorer.

Alongside Brace, Rhys Davies took 1-35, namesake Tom 1-37, and James Hinchliffe 1-38.

Ian Sefton then continued his early season form with 52 for Carew while Nick Scourfield made 29, but it was Rhys Davies who led his side over the line with 49 not out.

For the home side, Noah Davies took 2-27 and captain Ollie Davies 1-23.

Herbrandston (71-5) beat Laugharne (70 all out) by 5 wickets

It was an all Division 3 affair at Herbie and it was the home side who came through it after shooting Laugharne out for 70.

The visitors never recovered from Robert Hood (1-22) removing opener Andrew Edwards for a duck, and it was only fellow opener James Ingledon (16) and Shane Williams (15) who ever got going as Paul Nicholas did the damage with 4-22.

Jack Wilson also took 2-17 and Jay Power 1-7.

Herbie themselves were in trouble at 23-4 as Ingledon (3-13) and Carl Smith (1-18) bowled well early on.

But Leigh Walters and Jack Wilson (8) steadied matters before the latter went fell to Edwards (1-20), leaving Herbie needing 27 to win.

And they got there in the 17th over as Walters made 27 not out (three fours), while Ben Aldred cracked a six and a four in his 11 not out to help his side into the last eight.
