Division 1: Lawrenny (66 for 2) beat Burton (65 all out) by 8 wickets

Lawrenny remain on the coat tails of leaders Neyland after making light work of Burton on Saturday.

In contrast, the latter now lie 41 points from safety and have a serious task on their hands to survive relegation.

The visitors were shot out for just 65 and Lawrenny easily completed the run chase despite losing two wickets.

Put in to bat, Burton had no answer to Rob Williams (3-20), Jamie Lewis (2-13), Ryan Morton (3-22) and Kurtis Marsh (2-9) - with only Matthew Webb (14), Jonathan Venables (14) and Iestyn Evans (16 not out) getting starts.

Lamphey lost Harry Thomas (15) and James Skeels (8) to Luke Hayman (1-31) and Johnny Scale (1-15) respectively but opener Marsh ensured there were no further blips with seven fours in his 33 not out, as Jamie Phillips joined him to help finish the job.

Lawrenny remain 43 points off Neyland and realistically, must beat Haverfordwest on Saturday before the top two then meet on August 10th.
