West Wales Cup Round 1: Neyland 7-1 Clydach Sports
Neyland eased through in the West Wales Cup against Clydach Sports.
It was 0-0 for 35 minutes but then home centre back Sean Hannon broke the deadlock by scoring with a looping header from Wayne Parry’s cross.
Then five minutes before the break a powerful Jason Grifiths shot was parried into the path of Mike Chandler, who made no mistake.
The second half was dominated by The Nomads, with Griffiths and Patrick Bellerby both scoring twice each, and Will Hughes rounding things off.
Clydach did get one themselves to deny Patrick Hannon a clean sheet, but it was a comfortable passage through for Neyland - who return to league action this week at Monkton.
Neyland: Patrick Hannon, Will Clewes, Andrew Kemp, Sean Hannon, Will Hughes, Wayne Parry, Mike Chandler, Nico Morrison, Patrick Bellerby, Jamie Evans, Jason Griffiths. Subs: Jarred Campbell, Aaron Jones, Phil Bevan, Dylan Rowland.
