West Wales Cup Round 1: Kilgetty 10-0 Celtic Neath

With heavy rain falling on Friday and Saturday morning, Kilgetty took the sensible decision to switch their West Wales Cup game with Celtic Neath to Richmond Park on Saturday.

The 4G surface ensured there was no chance of a washout, and with the fixture having been called off twice already Robbie Beynon's side made sure they got the job done.

They romped into a 5-0 lead at half time, and repeated the feat in the second half by adding five more to hit double figures.

There was two goals apiece for Andrew Evans, Jordan Gorman, Richard Tebbutt and Henry Lawrence, while Richard Cope and Tom Mansbridge completed a commanding win.

The pick of the goals came right at the death - Henry Lawrence executing a perfect chip to make it 10.

Manager Beynon was unable to travel with his squad on Saturday but told Telegraph Sport: "I'm delighted the boys were able to get that result and also pleased that we were simply able to play after a frustrating two weeks."

It will undoubtedly be harder for the Pembrokeshire side this Saturday, when they go to Neath Premier League champions Rhos in Round 2.

Kilgetty squad: Kyle Marsh, Matthew Dickinson, Max James, Brett Evans, Ross Hurst, Josh Bevan, Richard Cope, Callum Proctor, Grant James, Andrew Evans, John Mansbridge, Tom Mansbridge, Richard Tebbutt, Henry Lawrence, Jordan Gorman.
