Women's Develoment League (South): Haverfordwest Ladies 20-67 Seven Sisters

Haverfordwest ladies’ efforts to rebuild their team were encouraged on Sunday with a much improved performance against a strong Seven Sisters side.

Playing 13-a-side under the coaching of Jeff Clout, Delyth Foster showed good pace to open the scoring for the home team before adding another later on.

Haverfordwest’s player of the match Awen Prysor also crossed, while captain Ali Hopson-Griffiths scored her first try after a 13 year career!

There was also a strong performance from Whitland permit player Evelyn Coleman and an impressive debut for Marie-Camille Repecaud who only took up the game a few weeks ago.

Haverfordwest were also thrilled this week to hear their teenage prop Sarah Lawrence was called up to the Wales Autumn squad along with former blue Lisa Neumann.

Haverfordwest’s next game is a tough encounter away to Nelson Belles.

As always new players are desperately needed to keep the team going and training is Thursdays at 7pm.
