Division 1: Goodwick United 2-0 Hakin United
Second half goals from Rhys Dalling and Matty Delaney ensured Goodwick struck a big blow in the fight for the Division 1 title by beating Hakin.
The result means it is now only champions Monkton Swifts who have a 100% record intact, with the Phoenix Boys now second and level on points with the leaders - but having played a game more.
It was a tasty and physical first half, and the hosts were cursing their luck when Ben Adams fired past Martin Langdon, but his effort was ruled offside.
It syaed 0-0 until the hour mark when Hakin's Ashley Bevan went through one-on-one with James Gwilt but had his effort saved - and within 30 seconds the ball was at the other end and after Leon Luby failed to deal with a through ball, Rhys Dalling pounced to score.
The hosts then added a second to put them out of reach when Vikings’ centre back Jonathan Fawcett took down Jonny Horgan, and up stepped Delaney to beat Martin Langdon from the spot.
Goodwick go to struggling Pennar this Saturday, while Hakin are at Narberth.
