Division 1: Hakin United 7-1 Pennar Robins

Justin Harding scored a superb hat-trick to help Hakin United to a seven-goal drubbing over Pennar Robins at the Obs.

This victory ensures The Vikings move up to second in the table just a point behind leaders Monkton, and The Vikings have a game in hand.

Hakin led 4-0 at half time and added a further three after the break.
Adam John opened the scoring on the 15-minute mark when he turned in Nicky Woodrow’s cross.

Five minutes later and they added a second, Harding’s cross was met by Woodrow in the box, the striker turned and buried his low shot in the bottom corner.

The visitors struggled to cope with the avalanche of attacks and the hosts didn’t have to wait long before they got a third. Leon Luby made good ground down the wing and his cross was met by Harding.

On 42 minutes Ashley Bevan rifled in a 25-yard rocket which flew in the top corner for the goal of the afternoon.

Ten minutes after the interval and Harding grabbed the fifth, making no mistake with an audacious overhead kick from an inch perfect Luby cross.

Luby’s deflected direct free kick brought up goal number six and then Connor Roberts pulled a consolation goal for the visitors with a cracking direct free kick from 35 yards which beat Vikings keeper Martin Langdon.

Woodrow set-up Harding for goal number seven and the striker’s treble, as he made no mistake with an eight-yard finish.
