Division 1: Neyland 1-11 Carew
Scott Ferney’s incredible goal scoring form continued as Carew cut neyland to shreds at the Athletic Ground.
The striker hit a double hat trick to make it 17 goals in four league and cup games, helping his side to an 11-1 win.
The Nomads were somewhat depleted due to Patrick Bellerby’s stag do in Ireland, but then the Rooks too had players missing, and yet within five minutes were a goal up through Fraser Finlay.
Ferney then ran riot with a hat trick in the 30 minutes that followed, and Finlay also added his second before the break to make it 5-0.
The visitors didn’t relent in the second half and within 11 minutes of the restart Ferney had three more goals.
Jason Griffiths did get a consolation goal for Neyland but Alex Bayley, Sonny Phillips, and an own goal completed the rout.
Carew, now unbeaten since Christmas, are up to third.
