Division 1: Merlins Bridge 3-4 Hakin United
Gareth Fawcett’s late header sent Hakin top of the table as they won a pulsating game with Merlins Bridge at The Racecourse.
The Wizards had fought back from 2-0 and then 3-1 down to level matters, but with time running out Fawcett nodded in a Leon Luby cross to settle matters.
The visitors dominated the first 30 minutes as centre back Daniel Armstrong headed them in front, and then from another corner the ball found the net via a Bridge defender.
Five minutes before the break the home side hit back as Adam Hawkins headed past Martin Langdon - only for Nicky Woodrow to restore the two goal lead early in the second half as he made no mistake at the back post from a Camron Thomas ball in.
The see saw action continued though when from kick off Hawkins swept in his second and as the hosts got on top, Ben Davies struck to level things up.
But Fawcett entered the fray in the last quarter and after he put Hakin back in front, The Vikings stayed firm.
