Division 1: Saundersfoot Sports 2-2 St Clears

It ended all square between two sides who desperate for a win at Saundersfoot as the hosts shared four goals with St Clears.

This meant both teams still await a first league victory, but for the Sports it was at least a first point of a difficult campaign.

The Saints struck first though after home keeper Sam Franklin failed to cope with a long throw into the box by Danny Peters, and Will Evans was on hand to score from close range.

But Adam Davidson levelled things up when he was put through on goal and finished clinically past Peter Griffiths.

Five minutes before the break The Saints went back in front though in spectacular fashion. Evans controlled a long ball upfield and teed up Peters who cracked a curling effort from long range and found the top corner.

The second half saw a lot of chances at both ends, with St Clears thwarted several times by Franklin and opposite number Griffiths also impressive with a string of saves.

But with 10 minutes left another goal did come and it was Davidson who again got it, getting on the end of a long ball into the box to poke a shot home.
