Jamie Stanley has been at Hundleton for the past 17 years and served the club as a player, manager, and even stand-in goalkeeper!

He is currently the assistant manager at the club and having helped the first team to a second placed finish in the second tier, is awaiting on news of promotion. He has also completed the tough task of naming the club's team of the century -with a 3-4-3 formation.

"I'll start by apologising to any of the old guard - but this is what I've come up with for the Hundleton team of the last 20 years," he said.

GOALKEEPER

DAN GRIFFITHS

Dan's one of the few people who's actually been at the club longer than myself and has been a great servant to both the first and second team. Still turning out for the firsts now, he seems to be getting better with age. Honourable mention to Daniel Roberts who was exceptional for a few seasons in Division One.

DEFENDERS

RHODRI DAVIES

Walked straight into the first team at 16 and never looked back. Gave us many great years at right back and could do it all. There was a time where he would have got into any side in the county at right back in my opinion. Won Division One with Monkton last year and deserves that on his CV. Brilliant player.

GRANT WESTON

A great loss to the club and Pembrokeshire sport in general, Grant sadly passed away in 2013. He was an absolute warrior in central defence. Brave, strong, quick and with a good footballing brain, Grant was a massive talent and I have no doubt he would still be dominating the game now. He came through the youth teams at Hundleton and was a top player and a massive personality. We miss you mate.

AARON BUTLAND

'Bucky' as he is known to the boys was a no nonsense defender and always wore his heart on his sleeve. Exceptionally good in the air for someone who was towered over by almost every striker he came up against. Big Liverpool fan but we won't hold that against him.

MIDFIELDERS

MARC EDWARDS

Marc could slot into any position in this whole team barring goalkeeper. For many years he's probably been the club's best player. Currently plying his trade in central defence for the first team, Marc is very much part of the furniture at Hundleton. Been through all the divisions with the club and plays with a smile on his face.

GERAINT LEWIS

Another player who has stood the test of time, Geraint has been harassing players in the centre of midfield for as long as I can remember. He does the dirty work, so much so that we say N'golo Kante dreams of being like Geraint Lewis! He will tell you he has an eye for a goal but realistically he's still living off a 30 yarder he scored at 16 in Kilgetty.

ROBIN STANLEY

Unplayable on his day. Sadly more interested in skateboards than footballs otherwise he would still be terrorising teams now. Silky footwork and goals galore, Robin had the X Factor. Would love to get him back playing soon (if you're reading this, you know you want to).

LLOYD WILSON

A proper captain and it's definitely not because he buys the boys beer after the game. A real winner, Lloyd gives his everything in every game and leads by example. He has played for both the firsts and the seconds and never lets anyone down. A talented footballer in his younger years, Lloyd was schooled at Haverfordwest and has passed that knowledge on throughout his years at the club including a stint as player-manager. Worth mentioning Lloyd also has a mancave big enough to fit all the boys in and accommodates us regularly so thanks Lloyd (and more importantly thanks to his wife Katie, who is definitely the boss).

FORWARDS

SEREK 'SEB' SEREDYNSKI

The 'Polish Hitman', Seb joined the club in 2008 after training at the riding stables in Hundleton, a long way from the Lech Poznan youth setup he had become used to in his native Poland. Seb scored goals for fun for the three or four seasons he was at the club, including a ridiculous 25 yard overhead kick at St Clears in the promotion push for division one. He's back home now but I hope he's still playing because he's a terrific talent.

CRAIG MANNING

Craig still plays for the seconds as a target man but back in the day he was as complete a forward as we've had. Craig had (and still has in smaller bursts) electric pace, he used to score bucket-loads of goals and all different types of goals too. Never shy of doing the dirty work either, which is rare for a striker.

CRAIG SWITZER

Only played one full season for us but has been involved sporadically since then, Craig joined in 2010 and scored eight goals in 45 minutes on his debut in a friendly at Manorbier. He continued that form in Division One and made scoring goals look easy. Skillful, blistering pace and sharp shooting - Craig was probably the most prolific striker we've ever had. Sadly (for us) he lives in Ireland now where he plays in a side full of Brazilians. He won't look out of place.

SUBSTITUTES

TOM DYSON

A former Swansea and Hull player, Tom's been playing for us this season and I can comfortably say he is the most talented player we've ever had at the club. For that reason, I couldn't really leave him out. As much as I'd love him to stay and stand the test of time like most of the other players in this team, he has bigger fish to fry and if he decides to play at a higher level next year we will wish him all the best. In my opinion, the best player in Pembrokeshire League football by a country mile.

JONNY HAY

For someone who wears two right footed boots on his two left feet, he doesn't do badly. Jonny has been with the club through thick and thin and will always be known as the penalty king for his cup heroics. Regularly turning out for the seconds, he's strong in the tackle and fit as a fiddle when he turns up without a hangover.

LEE CALLEN

'Four pint Callen' is our resident OAP in the club but somehow still manages to keep pace with the younger lads. Lee has been at the club for well over 10 years and has been a great club man and reliable player. Still signs every year and makes himself available when needed. Every club needs a Lee Callen and we are very glad to have him.

Notable mentions must also go to players like Daniel Roberts, Callum Lawson, Simon Cole, Joe Buckle, Nicky Grange, Simon Shanahan, Joe Lewis, Dylan Davies, Simon Bourne, Emlyn Hallet, and Ben Randall.

Apologies if I missed anyone out, but this was really tough. I'll end this by saying I look forward to doing this again in 10 years’ time because it would likely be very different as the current crop of players we have at the club are definitely going places.

MANAGER

MARK POWELL

'Powee' changed the whole club atmosphere as soon as he arrived. A former Swansea player (many years ago), his playing credentials meant everyone gave him the respect he deserved and yet his great sense of humour meant everyone wanted to do their very best for him. He took the club from Division Three to Division One in just three or four seasons and shocked a few of the big boys along the way too. A great man with vast football knowledge, he made every one of us a better player. Notable mention to his wife Debbie who would be there for every game and never let you leave without paying subs!

ASSISTANT MANAGER

GILES DAVIDS

Couldn't leave him out so he's slotting in as assistant manager, Giles was second team manager for many years at Hundleton. Sadly he passed away in 2012 but Giles left a permanent mark on the football club. Having spoken to a few players about this team, every one of them who I spoke to about Giles said they enjoyed football the most when playing for him. He made football fun and for that we thank him. As far as I know, he's the only person I know to have had the Hundleton badge tattooed on himself - he loved the club and he loved football. Rest easy up there Giles, miss you brother.
