Clarbeston Road AFC has announced the award of a 'Magic Little Grant' of £500 from the Localgiving and Postcode Community Trust, a grant-giving charity funded by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

This award will provide a brand new kit in the club colours for the Warriors Disability squad that was recently incorporated into Clarbeston Road AFC.

This announcement comes at the same time as the unveiling of the new team badge and name for squad, which will change from Cleddau Warriors to 'Clarby Warriors'. The new club badge for the Clarby Warriors was designed by squad member Rhys Eynon.

Ian Eynon, the club’s trustee with lead responsibility for disability football said: “We are very grateful to the Localgiving and Postcode Community Trust for awarding us this funding.

"It is a very difficult time for sports clubs such as ours at the moment and it is a great boost to get such good news. The squad are really looking forward to being able to take to the field in their new kit as soon as football can safely resume."

Clarbeston Road AFC, recently won the West Wales Community Club of the Year category of the FAW/McDonalds Grassroots Football Awards. The club welcomes new members of all abilities and the Warriors squad is a key part of the club.
