Kelsey Thomas has secured a dream move to Welsh Women’s Premier League champions Swansea City.

Kelsey, 15, has signed for the club after impressing with Cardigan Town.

She began playing football in boys’ leagues when aged just eight, and as well as Cardigan has represented Aberporth and Carmarthen Stars. For the last four years, she has also been part of the Swansea girls’ elite programme so when the chance to sign senior forms came, she admits she had no hesitation.

“The chance to sign with the Swans was a no brainer for me,” she admitted.

“I’m a big fan and to play for the club I support has always been my ambition.

“The hard work has been worthwhile and I’m so happy to be able to step up to senior level with them. I look forward now to joining up with a fantastic team at a great club.”
