Garden Village 1-2 Hakin United
FAW Trophy Rnd 3
HAKIN United are into the fourth round of the FAW Trophy after beating Garden Village 2-1 at Stafford Common on Saturday.
Brandon Yeap opened the scoring for Garden Village before Justin Harding equalised with a brilliant strike to level matters at half time.
In the second half Adam John grabbed the winner, which continues the Viking's remarkable run in the competition, having already beaten Goodwick United and Cwmamman United.
Now the Vikings can add Swansea based Welsh League Division 1 side Garden Village after two excellent goals from Harding and John.
It was Harding's goal that particularly caught the imagination - a stunning strike which rifled into the top corner just before the half hour mark.
John scored a neat finish volleying into the net from close range to secure the win.
After the game Hakin manager Scott Davies was delighted with the performance and the character his side showed.
