Angel Rodriguez scored twice as Getafe broke a run of four successive La Liga draws with a 3-0 home win against Celta Vigo.
The 30-year-old struck either side of a Jorge Molina goal to take his tally for the season into double figures and help Getafe move above their opponents in the standings.
Amath Ndiaye and Faycal Fajr, who forced Ruben Blanco into a good save, went close before Angel converted Ndiaye’s cross to open the scoring after 37 minutes.
At the other end, Vincente Guaita denied Stanislav Lobotka just before half-time to preserve Getafe’s lead.
Angel turned provider six minutes into the second half as Molina made it 2-0 with a tidy finish from inside the penalty area.
Molina was then denied a second goal by Blanco but the Celta goalkeeper could not stop Angel getting his name on the scoresheet again five minutes from time as the striker broke clear of the defence before finishing into the top corner of the net.
