Scarlets vice-captain and Wales centre Scott Williams has said it is vitally important for Scarlets to win their remaining three games of the Guinness PRO12 season and secure a place in next season’s European Rugby Champions Cup.

Currently level on points with Connacht, who are in sixth position, Scarlets head into this weekend’s Judgement Day clash looking for a first of three wins in the remaining fixtures with a place in the top six at stake.

Vice-captain Scott Williams said: “We need to win our last games – it doesn’t matter if we win them by a point or two as long as we win them.

“It’s going to be tough but it’s definitely a goal we can reach I think. Watching the games on the weekend, both of them massive games, it reminded us that it’s we have to make sure it’s something we’re in next season.

“That’s all we can do is make sure we get as much points as we can out of the last three games and hopefully that will be enough.”

Scarlets take on Dragons at the Millennium Stadium, Saturday 25th April kick-off 4.45pm, in Judgement Day III and will be keen to get a strong start to the first of two end of season Welsh derbies for the West Wales Region.

Williams went on to say: “Dragons have been playing well. They’ll be disappointed with their performance last week; they’ll be raring to go but we’ve got a couple of things to put right aswell so hopefully it’ll be a good spectacle. We have to make sure we’re on our toes now.”

Commenting on the occasion and record ticket sales for the third installment of Judgement Day Williams said: “It’s a massive occasion and a great day out. We have to make sure they get their monies worth!”

Scarlets return to the Parc on Sunday, May 10, to take on Cardiff Blues in the last home game of the season.
