Fishguard hosts the first OddCom mini comedy festival this weekend.

Starting at 8pm tonight (Friday July 11) Have A Laugh! Comedy Club returns to Theatr Gwaun with two Edingburgh preview shows back to back, from two of the hotest acts of 2014.

Matt Price showcases his new show The Maryhill Dinosaur inspired by a man called Arthur, who believed that he was a dinosaur and telling the tale of how he was scarred for life on the back of his hand, how his computer scientist father found love in the most unlikely of places, the last two breakdancers in Cornwall, what it’s like to be a ghost writer for people in the criminal underworld and how mental illness brought his family together.

2013 Amused Moose winner, Pierre Novellie, lifts the lid on mythical giants, medieval Welsh law and yoghurt.

On Saturday 12th July at 7pm Magic and comedy combine at Ffwrn.

Ian Keable, winner of the Magic Circle comedy award will boggle your mind and tickle your funny bone, when Magic, Mind Reading & Comedy combine to produce a unique, one of a kind show.

Ian will lead you through the world of magic tricks answering questions like; is the hand really quicker than the eye? how does a magician misdirect his audience or does everything just disappear up the sleeve?

Then the pace changes as he baffles you with his mind reading skills. You'll be amazed and delighted as he makes you scratch your head in bewilderment and rolling in laughter.

Music swiftly follows at 8pm in Pepper's, with Gertie and Her Gaiety who's popularity is rapidly growing, in no small part to the magnetism and mastery of their lead singer Molly Carroll. Playing a mix of swing, ragtime and chanson, Molly’s performance embodies the character of the 30s star, full of sass and poise, artfully leading you on a journey through early 20th century music and cinema history.

This girl really is something, and if not to watch rare, refined talent, come join us for a toe-tapping, foot-stamping rag and general all-round bloody good time.

With tickets starting at £8 there is bound to be something for everyone. More information can be found at www.facebook.com/oddcomfestival
