MORE than 200 amazing electronic, ambient, experimental and neo-classical artists have joined forces for a second fantastic charity album.

Local musician and producer Martin Boulton has signed up top name acts like Orbital, 808 State and Autechre for his latest album, Touched 2, which will be raising more money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The 250-track “monster album” follows the success of his first charity album Touched – which has raised more than £9,000 for the charity since its release last December.

Martin – who also writes and records under his pseudonym Min y Llan - started his fundraising enterprise after his mum was diagnosed with cancer.

Thankfully she has now been given the all-clear, but Martin has been so touched by the response to his first effort, he decided to do it all again.

And his year of hard work has paid off – with more than 200 artists contributing to the new record.

A ‘who’s who’ of alternative music, it features IDM duo Plaid, German electronic producer Ulrich Schnauss, Machinedrum, Richard Devine, and Future Sound of London, among its ranks.

Keeping things local, promising Pembrokeshire acts like Quiet Noise, Derren Heath and Ben Mason have also donated tracks for the album, which is released this Friday (November 28).

Almost a year in the making, Touched 2 is more than 22 hours of music from some of the biggest names in electronic music, and well worth the £14 asking price (although anyone feeling flush can pay more, with all the money going to charity).

The album is released on Friday morning. For more information visit http://touched.isig.co/releases/item/touched-two or search ‘Touched - Music for Macmillan Cancer Support’ on Facebook.
