SIX young men are to deny accusations of racing each other shortly before a serious road accident—but a seventh is to admit dangerous driving.
All seven made a preliminary hearing at Swansea crown court on Friday.
Frank Phillips, prosecuting, said the charges followed a head on collision between a Citroen Saxo driven by Scott Beavis and another vehicle on Arnolds Hill, near Haverfordwest, on August 11 last year.
Ian Wright, the barrister representing Beavis, aged 21, of 23 Skomer Drive, Milford Haven, said he would enter a plea of guilty to dangerous driving at a plea and case management hearing scheduled for April 11.
Barristers representing Edward Adams, 19, and James Adams, 22, both of Thornton Road, Steynton, Ian Lloyd, 22, of College Park, Neyland, Jack Murdoch, 18, of Main Road, Waterson, Stephen Murray, 23, of Lawrenny Street, Neyland and Ieuan Power, 18, of 17 Harbour Close, Milford, said they would plead not guilty.
All seven were granted bail until the next hearing.
