IT WAS a battle for quiz supremacy between All @ C and the Nelson at the final of this year's Milford Haven Quiz League K.O. Cup, held recently at the Conservative Club.

Congratulations were in order to all the teams involved in providing a tremendous evening and excellent competition and entertainment from first-class questions supplied by Mr Rob Taylor and Mike ‘Paddy’ Edwards.

The ‘A’ league K.O. final was competed for by All @ C and the Nelson.

Both teams were closely matched in the initial rounds but All @ C eventually showed their form and started pulling away after the half way mark to eventually win by a convincing 104 to the Nelson’s 86.

In the ‘B’ final The MC’s took on the Lost Buoys in what also proved an extremely well-fought competition which ended in a similar score line with Lost Buoys winning the trophy with an excellent score of 103 against the MC’s 88.

Congratulations were given to both the winning finalists on the night who also took the ‘double’ by winning their respective division championship.

Also worthy of mention were the excellent nine individual three-pointers achieved by Terry Mills and Jackie Thomas.

Many thanks to the Conservative Club as hosts and particularly Peggy who supplied an excellent buffet.

The night was expertly compered by Colin and Darryl McCarthy.

League Treasurer Dan Humphries' expertise was sorely missed and all members wish him a full and speedy recovery.
