PEMBROKE Dock-based firmGenpower Ltd, the UK Importer for Hyundai Power Equipment, has successfully negotiated a deal with the Korean manufacturing giant to extend the range of products to include petrol engines and light construction equipment.
This adds to the existing comprehensive line-up of generators, pressure washers, air compressors, water pumps, power tools and garden machinery already distributed throughout the UK and Ireland from the firm's Pembroke Dock headquarters.
General manager for Hyundai Power Equipment Global Business, Inseok Jeong, paid Genpower a visit last week and was amazed by the new premises, including the 10,000sq metre warehouse.
Roland Llewellin, Managing Director, said the new agreement would allow the firm to continue its expansion plans with the Korean firm.
"There is a strong demand for the high quality Hyundai products and the pricing we can offer makes these machines very popular," he said.
"The UK construction industry is starting to move again, so we are ideally placed to capitalise on this growth area.
"The petrol engine range will allow us to offer affordable replacement engines for a vast range of machines along with supplying the UK manufacturing base with an alternative engine supplier.”
