NEYLAND Town Council will award more than £2,000 to local causes.
The council's town development committee met this month, to consider a number of applications for funding.
Members decided to award £1,000 to the VC Gallery for art workshops, £500 to Neyland Community School for a maths project, £350 for attendance at a Scouts jamboree and
£275 towards the Llanstadwell Church Music Festival.
Mayor Cllr Simon Hancock said: "These grants demonstrate how keen the town council are to encourage and strengthen community endeavour.
"We want to help all community activities including sport, leisure, education, youth and the arts. We look forward to considering further applications in the forthcoming financial year."
