Fancy a splash around for FREE in your local leisure centre over the Easter holidays?

Leisure centres in Pembrokeshire are preparing themselves for a fun-filled weekend thanks to the Welsh Assembly Government's Free Swimming scheme, aimed at under 16's.

"Swimming is a great way to have fun, socialise and be active, and because it's free, it's good news for parents too." Heritage Minister Rhodri Glyn Thomas said. "The Welsh Assembly Government's Free Swimming scheme gives families the chance to make sure their children get some fun exercise over the Easter holidays without having to break the bank!"

A range of activities will be available at local leisure centres including snorkelling and water polo - meaning there's plenty for the kids to do.

And it's not just the children that can look forward to swimming. Pembrokeshire leisure centres are also offering the chance for those aged 60 and over to enjoy Free Swimming sessions throughout the year, meaning that they are able to take their grandchildren out and about this Easter for some splashing fun, taking some of the stress of entertaining the family away from mum and dad.
