Mooring ropes of a LNG carrier ‘parted’ while the vessel was docked at the South Hook terminal last month, it has been confirmed.
A spokesman for South Hook told the Milford Mercury: “We can confirm that on Wednesday, November 18, while the LNG carrier Al Sheehaniya was berthed at the South Hook jetty, two of the vessel’s 19 mooring ropes parted and were promptly replaced.”
The spokesman added: “At no time were any safety risks posed. All relevant authorities were informed.”
