Conservative Stephen Crabb MP promises ‘to keep fighting for Pembrokeshire’ as he launches election campaign Preseli Pembrokeshire Conservative Stephen Crabb launches his election campaign

Stephen Crabb launched his re-election campaign in Milford Haven yesterday (Tuesday, April 6th) with a promise to maintain a strong voice for Preseli Pembrokeshire in Westminster and to keep putting local interests first.

Over the last five years Stephen has been one of the hardest working MPs in Wales, both in his constituency duties and at Westminster where he has gained a reputation for championing Pembrokeshire at every opportunity.

Stephen has worked hard to defend local services and was prominent in the campaign to protect Withybush Hospital against downgrading or closure in 2006. He also fought to save local post offices and the Haverfordwest Tax Office from government cuts.

As a supporter of new investment in the county, he has promoted the vision of Pembrokeshire becoming a strategic energy hub. Stephen has also been a consistent voice calling for major improvements in rail and road connections to support the local economy.

Over the next thirty days Stephen and his team of local volunteers will take his re-election message to voters in every community in Preseli Pembrokeshire. He will use traditional campaign methods like public meetings at village halls and doorstep canvassing, as well making use of the latest digital media to communicate with voters.

Speaking at the campaign launch, Stephen said: "This will be the most important general election for more than thirty years. Our country faces some tough challenges and difficult decisions in the years ahead. It will be vital for Pembrokeshire to have an MP who will fight at every turn for the best possible deal for our County. I promise to always keep fighting for Pembrokeshire.

"We aim to be in touch with every voter in the constituency over the next month to explain the choice before us at this election. I have also launched a campaign website - www.workingforpembrokeshire.com - to give constituents even greater opportunity to ask questions and find out how the Conservatives will make a difference."
