PRIOR to the Milford Haven and Haverfordwest sorting offices being amalgamated at Merlins Bridge our mail was delivered at 10.30am at the latest. Since then our mail has arrived around 1pm and often later.
Having spoken to a couple of long-suffering and dedicated postmen, they were flagging problems to their management before the start of the new setup, and they foresee chaos when the Christmas rush begins.
Hopefully they will be proved wrong, but the present situation doesn’t augur well for the future.
I appreciate that it takes time for a reorganisation of this scale to settle down, but I’m not sure this move has been to the customer’s long term benefit.
