FOR five days I was a patient on Ward 10 at Withybush Hospital and whilst I wrote a letter of thanks and gratitude to the ward, I would like to express that more publicly.

The care, attention and respect shown by every member of staff, regardless of the colour of their uniform, were second to none.

My husband and daughter join me in grateful thanks to not only the staff on the ward but also the paramedics, the staff on casualty and to all those involved in the various departments looking for, diagnosing and treating my symptoms.

I was unaware of my time in casualty but was told of the excellent care given to myself and my husband and daughter, keeping them informed and ready to answer questions and reassuring them.

I conclude by saying ‘thank God’ for Withybush Hospital.
