POLICE surgeries at a local supermarket are proving popular.
Since last month, Milford Haven PCSO Laura Galdo has been hosting surgeries every Friday between 11am and noon at the Spar store, in Charles Street.
The sessions give people a chance to bring up any local issues they have, or ask questions about the neighbourhood policing team and the work it does in the town.
PCSO Galdo said people appreciated being able to 'put a face to the name' for their local officer while picking up essentials.
Chris Ward, Spar manager, said: “I think it's a great idea, we have been keen to do this for a long time.
“We have a big cross section of the community come in here, who may be not so comfortable with going to a police station or think that their problem is not enough to ring the police, so this will provide both Laura and the local community an opportunity to chat, informally, about any issues anyone may be having.
“We work closely with the local PCSO and with the police, and will do all we can to support them, and therefore the local community.”
