Classic car and motorcycle enthusiasts from all over west Wales and further afield are setting off on this year’s Celtic Charity Classic Tour today (Friday).
Last year’s successful four-day tour of Ireland raised £3,720 for the two nominated charities of Meningitis Now and CRY (Dean Mason Memorial Fund).
This year’s tour will start from the Snooty Fox Inn, Martletwy at noon on Friday, April 24, and will see the convoy of classic vehicles travel through Narberth and Fishguard before embarking on the Stena Line ferry to Rosslare.
Joined by local classic car clubs, the Welsh contingent will enjoy scenic drives, taking in the towns of Lismore, Baltinglass and Kilkenny – where the vehicles will go on display in the castle grounds – as well as hospitality with their Irish hosts.
“This promises to be another fun adventure” said one organiser, Norman Mason.
