It will be feedback forms at dawn this week as local bed and breakfast, the Ivybridge Hotel, goes head to head with three other guest houses to battle for B&B supremacy in Channel 4 reality series, Four in a Bed.

Owners Jan and Mark Rummery took over the Ivybridge Hotel in Goodwick in April 2014, after working in the hospitality industry in the Far East for more than 20 years.

As well as the 14 room hotel, the couple run a popular Asian restaurant, Spices, with Jan as head chef.

In this week's Four in a Bed, which starts tonight (Monday) June 20 at 5pm, Mark and Jan visit B&Bs in Norfolk, Nuneaton and the Cotswolds before the other guest house owners cast a scrupulous eye over the Ivy Bridge in Thursday's episode.

The hoteliers meet again on Friday to give each other feedback and to learn who has won the title of best value B&B.

"We are all really excited but nervous," Mark told the Western Telegraph on Monday. You never know what people have said when they've been taken to one side by the cameraman."

As well as enjoying the hospitality of the Ivybridge, Mark and Jan's guests enjoyed an evening meal at Peppers in Fishguard and learnt to make Chinese dumplings under the expert tuition of Jan.

Mark said he had come back from the filming with pages and pages of notes and loads of photos and said that he had enjoyed meeting the other owners who came from all different walks of life.

"It was brilliant," said Mark of the filming, which took place over two weeks in November. "I love staying at B&Bs but don't get the chance.

"This was two weeks of staying in B &Bs up and down the country. The whole experience was brilliant."

Four in a Bed airs at 5pm on Channel 4 all this week.
