THREE pupils from a Haverfordwest school ended up in hospital while on a half term skiing trip.
Pupils from Tasker Milward School headed to the slopes of Austria last week but unfortunately three were injured during a tobogganing activity organised by the ski company.
It resulted in two having to stay in hospital overnight and one was not able to make the journey home by coach so had to be flown home.
A spokesman for Pembrokeshire County Council said the pupils were taken to hospital “as a precaution”.
“Following treatment, a 12-year-old female was discharged from hospital the same day and a 13-year-old male was discharged the following day.
“Following his release from hospital it was decided that the third pupil, another 13-year-old male, should be flown home early accompanied by a member of staff.
“Procedures and policies - as laid down by a comprehensive risk assessment completed before the trip - were followed. Families of the pupils were kept informed throughout as were senior staff at the school,” the spokesman added.
