THREE cows stuck in a slurry pit were rescued by firefighters late last night (Wednesday).
The unfortunate trio had become trapped in the pit on a farm off the A478 at Llandissilio.
Crews from Carmarthen and Narberth were called to the scene at 11.35pm. They used mud mats and a short extension ladder to bring the animals to safety.
