  • "a great shame that this event is not returning, although not my cup of tea it was clearly very popular with those that attended.

I wonder how much money was given to the Company organising this event to bring it to Pembrokeshire?
Being cynical, are they taking the money and running now after perhaps having bigger incentive grants thrown at them from another location to take the event there?
That is how Formula 1 works, with those that pay the most getting the races."

No Red Bull Cliff Diving return to Abereiddy in 2014

Milford Mercury: No Red Bull Cliff Diving return to Abereiddy in 2014 No Red Bull Cliff Diving return to Abereiddy in 2014

ORGANISERS of the Red Bull World Cliff Diving Series have confirmed they will not be returning to the Blue Lagoon, Abereiddy, in 2014.

It is uncommon for the event to return to the same venue for three years in a row – but following the stunning success of the UK leg in both 2012 and 2013 officials had hinted the Pembrokeshire venue would be in the reckoning again this time around.

But the seven stops were confirmed this morning as Havana, Cuba (May 10), Possum Kingdom Lake, USA (June 7), Inis Mór, Ireland (June 29), Kragerø, Norway (July 12), Yalta, Ukraine (August 30), Bilbao, Spain (September 20), and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (October 19).
