TWO goals in the first half secured a thoroughly deserved win for St Clears over West Dragons.

Nick Squire glanced in a header from a Danny Peters long-throw for the opener in the 25th minute.

Five minutes before the interval Steve Thomas doubled the lead, the striker scoring from a tight angle.

Both teams finished with ten-men as Saints’ Nathan Evans and Dragons’ Simon Ellis were sent off following a spate of hand bags.

West Dragons: Dan Birch, Niall Kinsella, Lee Palmer, Ewan Cunningham, Bradley Barrett, Jordan Thomas, Gethin Roberts, Simon Ellis, Jamie Palmer, Scott Crawford, Joey Brill. Sub: Kieran O’Brien.
