Haverfordwest County FC have answered a ‘cry for help’ from Welsh Premier outfit Carmarthen Town FC.
The Old Gold outfit will play a friendly fixture against a Cardiff City X1 at the Conygar Bridge Meadow Stadium, on Monday, July 7; kick-off is at 7pm.
The reason for the switch of grounds is Carmarthen Town’s Richmond Park Ground has undertaken re-seeding work during the off season and is currently not fit to play a game on.
Haverfordwest County chairman, David Hughes said: “I received an official request from Carmarthen Town who asked to play a friendly fixture on our pitch, and after we’ve just staged a women’s international - our surface is in perfect shape. So the club has agreed to give them the green light to play and use our excellent facilities.”
