Monkton Swifts 0
Goodwick United 2
TWO Late goals by Goodwick United have condemned Monkton Swifts to Division Two football next season.
This was a game that Mark Powell’s Swifts had to win, but they came up short as Jonny Horgan grabbed Goodwick’s first goal ten minutes from full time.
Five minutes later and Kieran O’Brien added a second goal, the midfielder scoring with a cheeky back heel and it was a sad day for Monkton Swifts who won four titles on the trot from 2003 to 2007.
