FORMER Pembroke RFC player Dominic Day will finally win his first Welsh cap when Wales face Ireland at the Millennium Stadium this Saturday.

The 29-year-old Bath second row will join Tyler Morgan, Eli Walker, and Ross Moriarty in making a first international appearance.

And the call up has not come before time, with many questioning why the former Scarlets man has been ignored by the selectors until now.

Furthermore, ex-Whitland and Newcastle Emlyn centre Scott Williams will lead the Welsh, while former Haverfordwest RFC prop Rob Evans will start on the substitutes bench.

The World Cup warm up game kicks off on Saturday at 2.30pm.
